Peter Gerard’s first documentary, “Out of Breath” – made while he was a teenager in Missouri – won the SOFA Film Festival Audience Award. He then founded the , a celebration of ultra-low-budget films. A multimedia visionary, he has made numerous short films, designed award-winning websites, and exhibited his photography in the US and Britain. Peter migrated to Scotland in 2000 and established to produce award-winning documentaries, fiction films, music videos and interactive media.
Peter’s recent cutting-edge graffiti-history documentary “” received acclaim at festivals worldwide and is now being distributed internationally on DVD and broadcast. In the last year, Peter produced and edited ““, which was pitched at Documentary in Europe and won a BAFTA Scotland New Talent Award, and ““, which premiered in competition at Silverdocs and Edinburgh International Film Festival and won both the Jury and Audience Awards at the Jim Poole Awards. Simultaneously he directed “Tomorrow’s Fairground”, a short documentary commission for Scottish Documentary Institute, Scottish Screen and BBC Scotland (broadcast in December 2009).
